    Questions about the Internal Committee

Does every office need its own committee?

Yes, each office or unit with 10 or more workers has one. Complaints from a smaller office go to the Local Committee your district runs.

We have no senior woman employee at one office. What then?

The Act lets the presiding officer come from another of your offices, or from another workplace of the same employer.

    Who pays the external member?

You do: a daily allowance for each sitting, plus travel. We arrange the member and set out the terms with you in writing.

When is the annual report due?

The Act sets no date. Districts set their own, commonly 31 January, and we file by the date yours sets.

    How is the fee set?

By the number of offices and committee members. We send it in writing after your enquiry.
