The Ministry of Corporate Affairs publishes its company register as open data on data.gov.in.
The register lists 3.7 million companies, LLPs and foreign companies, active and closed. It leaves out Chhattisgarh companies, so we add MCA’s Chhattisgarh file of 31 March 2021.
MCA published it on 13 October 2026, with registrations up to 5 August 2026.
It leaves out directors, charges, filings and previous names, which MCA’s own pages show.

The data is the Ministry of Corporate Affairs register on data.gov.in, published under the Government Open Data License. The Ministry does not endorse these tools.
The register runs to registrations of 5 August 2026. For newer companies, use MCA’s own master data page.
Use it to shortlist names. Reserved names, trademarks and names given up in the last 3 years are not in the register, so ask us to check those before you file.
The MCA portal is MCA21, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ online system for registering companies and LLPs and filing their returns.
MCA publishes the full register as open data on data.gov.in, and monthly lists of new companies on mca.gov.in.
