Questions about a GCC in Tamil Nadu

Our parent is not on the Forbes or Fortune lists. Is there a way in?

The state’s committee can make exceptions. We put your case to it through Guidance Tamil Nadu.

What if we open after March 2027?

The payroll subsidy ends on 31 March 2027 unless the state extends it. A product R&D centre can also look at the Tamil Nadu R&D Policy 2022, open to centres set up before the end of 2027.

    Should we look beyond Chennai?

The state backs GCCs in Coimbatore and Madurai, and its 2018 IT policy offers higher incentives in smaller cities. We compare the sites you are weighing before you sign a lease.

You have no office in Chennai. Does that matter?

No. Registration is filed and issued online; only your centre’s own office has to be in the state.

Do our directors have to come to India?

No. They sign at home, and our resident director handles the work on the ground.
